Hair Cooki is an Australian company based in Sydney, Australia. All orders are shipped from our warehouse in Brisbane using Australia Post.

*Orders placed before 1 pm will be dispatched the same day. Orders placed after 1 pm will be shipped the next day. (Mon - Fri, excluding public holidays in QLD). This is not guaranteed, especially during busy periods including, but not limited to sales, Black Friday, December - January. 

We offer FREE DELIVERY in Australia on orders over $69.

Australian shipping to metro areas has a flat rate of $9.49 AUD.  

If you live in a rural area, this can vary - pop your post code in at checkout and you'll be given the fee relevant to your address.

All of our orders are shipped to you in 100% recycled padded envelopes or boxes to protect the tins against any dings. These envelopes are also recyclable after use.  Our orders are delivered with Australia Post, who are carbon neutral.

In the unlikely event that you aren't 100% happy and wish to return something to us, please email us at hello@haircooki.com to speak to one of our Happiness Champions. They will see if we can help you resolve the issue, or alternatively provide you with the returns info (you are responsible for shipping and returns fees).

Conditions 

Return must be received within 60 days. Only bars purchased from haircooki.com.au will be accepted along with proof of purchase. Refunds will only be given back onto the same payment method. 

You must not have used more than 25% of the bar. You will be refunded once we receive the bar back, so we do advise tracking to be used when returning products. We do not refund any delivery or return shipping fees. 

If you wish to exchange for another type, you must also pay the new delivery fee. 

To be eligible for a return, your item must be in brand new condition, and in its original packaging. You’ll also need the receipt or proof of purchase.  You must pay for return shipping.

To start a return, you can contact us at hello@haircooki.com. We’ll send you instructions on how and where to send your package. Items sent back to us without first requesting a return will not be accepted. All delivery fees are non-refundable.

Wet Hair Cooki Shampoo Bar in hands until it begins to lather.  Run bar through wet hair from root to tip and massage until hair is lathered. Rinse out with water. Follow with conditioner if needed. Please remember that traditional conditioner does not lather, so neither do our conditioner bars. You lightly coat the hair and rinse it out after a couple of minutes.

To keep your shampoo bar in good condition and long lasting, allow to dry in between washes.  We recommend using a drainer which can let the Cooki dry thoroughly. You can purchase the perfect sustainable bamboo drainer, or use something similar. 

Our bars are not made specifically for those with certain medical conditions or sensitive skin. It can very much depend on what causes irritation on your skin, which can greatly vary between people. Our Coconut bar is our most gentle shampoo bar. It contains only 6 ingredients: sodium coco sulfate, natural organic cocoa butter, organic shea butter, virgin olive oil, virgin coconut oil, coconut extract.

Our Argan Oil and Hemp Seed Oil is the best to try because of its gentle nourishing properties, which leaves your hair feeling lightweight, bouncy, and clean!

Our Ginger shampoo bar, Lemon shampoo bar and Coconut Conditioner are best for anyone who has oily hair.  The ingredients such as ginger or citronella in these bars make them ideal for oily hair, as they help remove and balance oil production in the scalp.

Our bars are only shampoo but they are packed with nourishing and moisturising natural ingredients, so some of our customers have said they don't use conditioner when using Hair Cooki, but it is a very personal opinion. 

If you usually use conditioners we suggest to continue a Hair Cooki Conditioner bar after the Shampoo Bar. 

Yes, we do offer refills! Click on the product you want to purchase, and you will now see two options available - "With Tin" and "In Box". Please note that the shampoo tins and conditioner tins are different sizes, so if you want the tins you will need one of each of these. 

While we haven't had our bars formally tested for colour safety, based on customers' experience (including a trial with a customer with freshly dyed blue hair!) all of our bars are gentle enough to be used on coloured hair and have not in our experience caused any premature colour fading. We also have our best seller, a Purple Toning Shampoo Bar specifically for blonde and highlighted hair, which helps to neutralise brassy yellow tones.

Our Hair Cooki shampoo bars can last for 3 months or more, and have a use by date of 24 months.  You will need to allow the bar to dry out fully before placing it on a drainer dish to thoroughly dry out between uses. The best way to do this is using a tray or drainer which can let the Cooki drip and air dry. You can purchase the perfect sustainable bamboo drainer, or use something similar.  To ensure the bar lasts as long as possible, we also recommend storing the bar in a dry area of your bathroom, such as a cabinet, rather than in the shower, and on a drainer dish, using the tins mainly for travel rather than everyday storage. Following these directions will stop your Cooki from going mushy and will help it last a long time. 

Conditioner doesn't lather in water the same way that shampoo does, if you think to how regular bottled shampoo coats the hair, it should have the same effect. The bars don't always feel like lots comes off the bar, as you shouldn't need too much. Usually if you stroke it through the hair 2-4 times, when you touch your hair you should feel the conditioner In the hair even if it doesn't seem like much comes off. When you brush your hair after, you will notice is feels smoother and easier to comb through. It's also worth noting that when brand new our conditioner bars may not 'glide' as easily - as they soften up after a few uses, they will continue to glide more and more smoothly, and the bar will last a very long time.

Save Water - The main ingredient in plastic shampoo bottles is water.  Hair Cooki eliminates the water and provides a solid shampoo bar.

Eliminate Plastic - No plastic is used in Hair Cooki packaging.  It comes in a reusable metal tin.  One bar equals 3 bottles of shampoo - so 3 fewer plastic bottles in a landfill!

Reduce Carbon Footprint - Hair Cooki comes in a solid bar.  It's lighter & smaller than plastic bottles, and takes up less space when shipped.

Yes! We have multiple Conditioner Bars which you can use after the Shampoo Bar for a complete zero waste hair care routine! 

Hair Cookis are made with mostly natural ingredients, but are not fully natural. For our lathering agent, we use Sodium Coco Sulfate, which is a more naturally derived surfactant made from coconuts, and is far more gentle on the hair than traditional detergents like Sodium Lauryl Sulfate.

We avoid using the harsh chemicals and silicones you will find in many off the shelf shampoos and conditioners, and we also supplement our Cookis with  lots of natural goodness that can be great for your hair such as argan oil, coconut oil, and shea butter.

All of our bars contain some form of coconut in them. Some of our bars contain macadamia and argan nut oil, but all of our bars are made in a factory where there could be traces of other types of nuts / nut oil present, so if you have any nut allergy, we would advise you not to use our bars.
