Our bar drainer is made of sustainable bamboo, which is a 100% natural, compostable material. This sustainable drainer is a great way to keep your favourite shampoo and conditioner bars or body bar dry in your bathroom. This dish fits our hand & body bar, or two of our 65g shampoo or 75g conditioner bars side by side. For the best fit, we recommend our individual Round Bamboo Bar Drainer Dishes for storing shampoo and conditioner bars.
We strongly advise to drain your Cooki bars after each use. Try to allow them to dry as soon as possible, and then keep them dry in between washes. The best way to do this is to store your bars away from a direct stream of water and use a drainer dish, which allows them to air out and dry. With proper storage, your bar will return to its hard, solid form after every wash and will last as long as possible.
A soap dish can significantly extend the life of a shampoo or soap bar. Our drainers are:

I found the bamboo drainers good.
As for shampoo bars, I ordered the rosewater bar first as I have dyed hair. It was okay but I preferred the ginger bar and conditioner. My hair feels cleaner with that bar.
Love the larger rectangular dish ..... I stand both shampoo and conditioner bars upright to keep them dryer. I have one for an Argon oil shampoo bars and one for the purple 💜 ones. Just swap the dish on the shower shelf as required.

The Ginger conditioner is good to add volume and the Argon oil & Jasmine conditioner bar is good to sooth dry ends. The dish drainers provide the longevity to your bars which makes them more cost effective too.
These are perfect for the shampoo and conditioner bars. It lets them dry completely before putting them away. I have 2 and considering getting another.
I love the smooth finish water protective coating on it it makes it so easy to clean, I feel like the design could be improved however to fit comfortably two bars because they fall into each other with the angle of the edges, which is great for drainage however it makes the soaps touch and if you don't want them to it can be a little annoying.

I'd recommend trying our Round Bamboo Bar Drainer Dish instead as it's designed to fit each bar individually and keep them nicely separated. I have thick hair, use to be a red head. Now going Gray disgracefully. No matter what shampoo I used, it never felt soft.
With your shampoo it now feels soft. Even my hairdresser commented on it. He comes to my home so I wash my hair before he gets here.
I find it lathers up well and only use it once.

All Cooki shampoo and conditioner bars are palm oil free, plus also cruelty-free and vegan. None of our products are tested on animals. Please note that the only ingredient in our range which is not vegan is the Pearl Powder in our Hand & Body Soap, which is derived in a cruelty-free process from oysters - but oysters are not killed in the extraction process.
They shouldn't, providing you have selected a high quality shampoo bar that is well suited to your hair. In fact, most people find the opposite with our shampoo and conditioner bars, because we cut out the harsh ingredients, and use natural oils which help cleanse and nourish the hair. Many people find their hair feeling super soft even after their first wash!

For darker hair dyes or bright colours such as purple, red or blue, we recommend using our Rice Water Protein Shampoo Bar, which is actively colour-protective and designed to help defend against colour fading while gently cleansing the hair. Great question! Just like regular conditioner doesn't lather, our conditioner bars are not designed to foam. Instead, they are a solid block of oils which you use to 'paint' directly onto your hair. Check out this video for instructions on how to activate and get the most out your conditioner. You’ll feel the softness as it melts in - no bubbles needed!
The best part is, each conditioner bar lasts many months - they're incredibly economical. They're also very lightweight and won't weigh down your hair, so if you have fine or limp hair that tends to go flat with heavy creams, you'll absolutely love Cooki conditioner bars.
All our bars are proudly low tox and contain no parabens, phenoxyethanol, phthalates, silicones, PEGs or synthetic fragrance.
