How to use:
Wet Cooki Shampoo Bar in hands until it begins to lather. Run bar through wet hair from root to tip and massage until hair is lathered. Rinse out with water.
After rinsing out shampoo, wet Cooki Conditioner Bar in hands and rub gently. Run bar through wet hair from root to tip and massage until hair is lightly coated . Rinse out with water. If you get the conditioner in your eyes, rinse immediately with clean water.
To keep your shampoo bar in good condition and long lasting, allow to dry in between washes. We recommend using a drainer which can let the Cooki dry thoroughly. You can purchase the perfect sustainable bamboo drainer, or use something similar.

Over the past few years, I have been making a conscious effort to reduce my use of chemicals and plastics. I have trialled various shampoo and conditioner bars, but unfortunately have often been disappointed by their lack of lather, which makes it difficult to cleanse my scalp effectively. For context, I have fine, thin hair with an oily scalp and dry ends.
Recently, I came across a Facebook advertisement for an Australian brand - Cooki, that offers sulphate-free, natural ingredient shampoo and conditioner bars with no plastic packaging. I decided to give them a try, considering there was little to lose.
To my surprise, the ginger shampoo bar produced an excellent lather, which exceeded all my expectations. The conditioner bar initially took some getting used to, especially since I am accustomed to silicone-based products, but it ultimately left my ends feeling quite soft without making my hair oily too quickly. Transitioning from liquid conditioners to a bar requires a little bit of an adjustment, but I find it well worth the effort, considering there’s no nasties, no plastics and they last so much longer than bottled shampoo & conditioner.
Impressed by these products, I ordered a further five sets to try different variants and also purchased some for my mother. Interestingly, I had a remaining shampoo and conditioner bar from a well-known US brand, which I decided to finish before switching fully to the Cooki products. I can confirm that the Cooki bars outperform the previous brands by a significant margin.
I would like to commend the Cooki brand for developing such an innovative product that many of us have been seeking for some time. I love the ginger shampoo and conditioner bars. Your hair feels squeaky clean while shampooing! Definitely don’t need to wash your hair as often which is so good. I use the bamboo bar drainers for the shower and the tins for travelling. So much better than bulky bottles. I was very impressed with the customer service. All Cooki shampoo and conditioner bars are palm oil free, plus also cruelty-free and vegan. None of our products are tested on animals. Please note that the only ingredient in our range which is not vegan is the Pearl Powder in our Hand & Body Soap, which is derived in a cruelty-free process from oysters - but oysters are not killed in the extraction process.

Great question! Just like regular conditioner doesn't lather, our conditioner bars are not designed to foam. Instead, they are a solid block of oils which you use to 'paint' directly onto your hair. Check out this video for instructions on how to activate and get the most out your conditioner. You’ll feel the softness as it melts in - no bubbles needed!
The best part is, each conditioner bar lasts many months - they're incredibly economical. They're also very lightweight and won't weigh down your hair, so if you have fine or limp hair that tends to go flat with heavy creams, you'll absolutely love Cooki conditioner bars.
