How to use:
Wet Cooki Shampoo Bar in hands until it begins to lather. Run bar through wet hair from root to tip and massage until hair is lathered. Rinse out with water.
After rinsing out shampoo, wet Cooki Conditioner Bar in hands and rub gently. Run bar through wet hair from root to tip and massage until hair is lightly coated . Rinse out with water. If you get the conditioner in your eyes, rinse immediately with clean water.
To keep your shampoo bar in good condition and long lasting, allow to dry in between washes. We recommend using a drainer which can let the Cooki dry thoroughly. You can purchase the perfect sustainable bamboo drainer, or use something similar.

Over the past few years, I have been making a conscious effort to reduce my use of chemicals and plastics. I have trialled various shampoo and conditioner bars, but unfortunately have often been disappointed by their lack of lather, which makes it difficult to cleanse my scalp effectively. For context, I have fine, thin hair with an oily scalp and dry ends.
Recently, I came across a Facebook advertisement for an Australian brand - Cooki, that offers sulphate-free, natural ingredient shampoo and conditioner bars with no plastic packaging. I decided to give them a try, considering there was little to lose.
To my surprise, the ginger shampoo bar produced an excellent lather, which exceeded all my expectations. The conditioner bar initially took some getting used to, especially since I am accustomed to silicone-based products, but it ultimately left my ends feeling quite soft without making my hair oily too quickly. Transitioning from liquid conditioners to a bar requires a little bit of an adjustment, but I find it well worth the effort, considering there’s no nasties, no plastics and they last so much longer than bottled shampoo & conditioner.
Impressed by these products, I ordered a further five sets to try different variants and also purchased some for my mother. Interestingly, I had a remaining shampoo and conditioner bar from a well-known US brand, which I decided to finish before switching fully to the Cooki products. I can confirm that the Cooki bars outperform the previous brands by a significant margin.

As I’ve been a hairdresser for over 34 years I’ve used professional shampoos of many brands. I have been going through chemo for the past 5 months and unfortunately I lost my hair but I still felt the need to wash my scalp safely and chemical free. When I saw the cinnamon and rosemary shampoo online which was for new hair growth I thought why not give it a try. I also got the bundle with the ginger conditioner. The smell of the shampoo is divine even when I open my shower door each morning you can smell it. Since using these 2 products my hair is slowly growing back with little fine shoots. Not that I am saying this has anything to do with the shampoo but I had still been going through chemo every 3 weeks and my hair is growing. I love the ginger shampoo and conditioner bars. Your hair feels squeaky clean while shampooing! Definitely don’t need to wash your hair as often which is so good. I use the bamboo bar drainers for the shower and the tins for travelling. So much better than bulky bottles. I was very impressed with the customer service. I love, love, love the Cooki Ginger Shampoo and Conditioner. I have long grey hair and even though I have the purple toning bar, I only really use it every 3 months or so as I find the Ginger is so great on my hair I really don't need anything else.
Also I took my Cooki on holiday for a month overseas, including a cruise and it was absolutely fabulous, cut down on bag weight and kept my hair soft, clean and shiny, I wouldn't be without it and I'm never going back to bottled shampoos again.
Love the hair bars. They smell so good and leave my hair feeling so soft. Only downside is I burn through the shampoo bars so much faster than the conditioner. If you're new to it buy 2x shampoo to every conditioner or go with the jumbo shampoo bars.

was skeptical at first after having tried other brands looking for natural alternatives that made my hair oily and stringy. But I have had the bars for about 3 weeks now and am surprised at how well they work. I’m so happy with the results from the ginger bar, I’ve only tried this bar and the coconut conditioner so far and they have left my hair shiny and soft. I’d like to try to Jasmine conditioner bar next to detangle my hair better.

Absolutely love the COOKI HAIRCARE products. I ordered the Ginger bar for both shampoo and conditioning. I wanted to try these as my hair has been slowly thinning out. Love this product! The shampoo bar washes with light foamy suds, and the conditioning bar gives a nice finish. Really liked the recommendation to rethink the way conditioner works .... its not the traditional goop but a bar to gently spread the oils on the hair. The magic happened on day three though ... my hair still felt clean, not needing its usual wash!

Please note that the only ingredient in our range which is not vegan is the Pearl Powder in our Hand & Body Soap, which is derived in a cruelty-free process from oysters - but oysters are not killed in the extraction process.

Great question! Just like regular conditioner doesn't lather, our conditioner bars are not designed to foam. Instead, they are a solid block of oils which you use to 'paint' directly onto your hair.
